all this advice is pretty sensible except the “don’t be funny” part. Don’t be funny if you’re not funny, but if you’re funny, let it show! “Baby you must be tired from running through my dreams,” BTW, isn’t.
The no-adjectives rule makes sense, but seems like it would make for a mighty long profile





As an outsider, I keep seeing searching for a mate through personals becoming more and more like a job search, which is why the Keller advice sounds like something from a “Resumes That Will Knock ‘Em Dead” book.
I appreciate the DON’T FUDGE THE TRUTH part, but I’m not sure it reflects the previous rules. Aren’t those clumsy, unrefined quirks that slip through really honest signs of your personality for the potentials to see, for better or for worse?
